The field of experimental mineralogy:

  • methods for minerals identification and characterization: infrared spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy, thermal analysis with evolved gas analysis (TG-QMS), X-ray diffraction,
  • the studies of thermal decomposition of minerals, especially the dehydrogenation vs. the dehydroxylation of Fe(II)-bearing phylloslicates/sillicates, 
  • minerals group of chlorites (Fe-Mg series)– thermal decomposition, crystalochemical properties, structural characterization,
  • minerals group of apatites (synthetic and natural species, modern and fossil bioapatites, lead apatites)– thermal decomposition, crystallinity index and C/P ratio determination, carbonates substitution identification and determination,
  • an interaction of micro- and nanoplastic with minerals (current activity, pilot studies).
