The scientists of IGS PAS will lead sessions on several international scientific conferences this year including Goldschmidt Conference in Hawaii and AAPG International Conference & Expedition In Colombia. The full list of sessions that we organize is listed below:
CONFERENCE SESSIONS IGS PAS ON THREE CONTINENTS:
- Session “History of Petroleum Geology”at the AAPG International Conference & Expedition that will take place from 19th to 22nd April 2022 in Cartagena, Colombia. The session is led by Piotr Krzywiec (IGS PAS) and Victor Ramirez.
- Session GeoPlanet "Fact or Fake?" at the International Sopot Youth Conference that will be held online on 10th June 2022. The session is led by Marta Wojewódka-Przybył (IGS PAS) and Michael Nones (IG PAS). The deadline for the abstract submission is April 6th.
- Session 4h - "Metals, volatiles, and ore formation in various tectonic settings” at the Goldschmidt Conference that will take place from 10th to 15th July 2022 in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, USA and online. The session is led by Jakub Ciążela (IGS PAS), Matthew Loader, Simon Large (Natural History Museum, London), Marine Paquet (IPGP, Paris), Malte Junge (Uni München), and Lei Chen (China University of Geosciences Beijing). The Keynote speaker is James Day (Scripps Institution of Oceanography, USA). The deadline for the abstract submission is March 7th.
- Session "Ore mineralogy and trace elements" of Theme 6 at the 23rd General Meeting of the International Mineralogical Association that will take place from 18th to 22th July 2022 in Lyon, France . The session will be led by Malte Junge (University of Munich) and Jakub Ciążela (IGS PAS). The deadline for the abstract submission is April 22nd (https://www.ima2022.fr/abstract-submission/22).
Besides, Artur Kędzior and Mariusz Paszkowski co-organize the 88th meeting of the Polish Geological Society to be held from 27th to 30th June 2022 in Nowy Targ, Poland .
